URGELES DIAMANT, S.L. was created in 1964 in Mataró by Jordi Urgeles, who has always been dedicated to the production of natural diamond tools, the only known ultra hard material for machining ferrous materials. In 1985 he began the manufacturing of tools with PCD polycrystalline CBN and thus URGELES DIAMANT became the first Spanish company to produce ultra-hard tools, especially for the automotive sector.

Since 1983, URGELES DIAMANT, S.L. has been exporting mainly to the USA, subsequently incorporating many clients in other countries, with the intention of internationalization.
